According to a press released received from SOS Hyperlite, the new portable hyperbaric chamber is a vital lifesaving piece of equipment to treat pressure related illnesses such as decompressionsickness. This equipment is designed foradvanced and technical diving, for emergency response units and especially foruse in remote locations.
The unit has now benefitted from a major upgrade thatincorporates innovative braiding technology. The expertise has been developed in a Joint Venture with RFD BeaufortLtd., leaders in the field of inflatable life saving technology.
The 2009 model is one third lighter, more durable and packsinto one case rather than two. it is fully operational within 10 minutes, and the patientcan be treated on-site, or be transferred under pressure during treatment to a nearbymedical centre, depending upon circumstances.
The new unit continues to be built to internationally recognisedmedical device standards and remains the only non-metallic folding pressurevessel with such approvals. It is widelyin use by the USmilitary and Coast Guard and by other military, emergency services and diveteams in many countries around the world.
