Seneca College Is Terminating Its Commercial Diver Program

-

After 45 years of training commercial divers in Canada, Seneca College has announced that it is taking the difficult step and terminating its commercial diving program.

The 35-week program certified divers to work at depths of up to 50m/165ft with Seneca’s Unrestricted Surface Supplied Supervisors and were fully qualified as Unrestricted Surface Supplied Divers.

Seneca College made the decision due to the spiraling operating costs and declining student demand.

Currently, enrolled students will be able to complete their studies and receive their qualifications upon graduation.

However, the program is now closed to new applicants.
