Egyptian freediver Ashod Papazian set a new NR on May 16 in Sharm El Sheikh, at Apnea Academy. He set a new depth in CWT tp -70 metres. This was verified by Aida judges.
His previous records were -65 metres, set in Dahab Triple Depth, in September 2008, and at the World Championships in Sharm 2007, -60 metres.
