The iBubble – the first autonomous underwater camera drone – is going to be launching on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform on April 19th. Named “one of the top 5 tech gadgets” at the International Boot Show in Düsseldorf, iBubble intends to raise $75 000 on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo to accelerate its production.
The device is in it’s 2nd working prototype – dubbed the “pipelette” – and is being extensively tested along with Freediver Guillaume Néry.

The team behind the device have been at numerous diving shows and have a long list of supporters in the diving community now including Sylvia Earle, the Cousteau family, François Sarano (co-author of the movie Oceans), Andy Torbet (BBC and Discovery Presenter), Umberto Pelizzari, Carlos Coste, Laurent Ballesta and more.

iBubble’s final prototype should be tested at the end of 2016, with deliveries planned for late Spring 2017.
