A couple getting married on a pier in the romantic settings of Lake Tahoe had a nightmare moment.
During the ceremony, the groom took the ring out of his pocket and then dropped it. Unfortunately, the ring fell between the boards and plunged into the icy water below.
While the groom wanted to get in the water to try and retrieve the ring, the minister convinced him that would be a bad idea due to the water temperature. The ceremony continued without the ring.
Later the couple contacted Phill Abernathy, the founder of Tahoe Scuba Diving, on Facebook. The next day he dove into the lake and located the ring within 30 minutes.
Once he located the ring, Abernathy surfaced and asked before producing the ring in his hand:
“Hey guys, I have one last question. Does your ring look like this?”
