On December 30, 2002, Ricardo Hernandez announced that a civil counter-lawsuit was filed in Dade County Eleventh Circuit Court on his behalf against the I.A.F.D., Francisco Ferreras a/k/a/ "Pipin" Ferreras and Carlos Serra.
