AIDA World Championships hit by massive theft

The AIDA Indoor Freediving World Championships in Aarhus, Denmark has been hit by theft of over 50,000 Euro’s worth of equipment in the pool building.

According to reports all the computers, flatscreen TV’s and video cameras have been stolen overnight on Wednesday 19th August 2009.

We’ve had no word on the impact of this theft on the competition yet but hope that it has been minimal.

You can see video footage from the competition on the World Championships YouTube Channel.
